Who insures commercial trucks and equipment when they are being rented? |

Answer
Hi, It all depends on the agreement between the person who rents the commercial vehicles and the company that provides you the vehicle on rent. COMMERICAL AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE provides liability coverage for "autos not owned by the user". In this case the person who has rented the autos can get insurance. If, the company that rents the autos has to get the insurance, then the autos are its business property and they can get them insured under COMMERCIAL PROPERTY INSURANCE or COMMERICAL AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE depending on the case.
It would also depend on what state you are in. Some companies will only write in their own state or a tri-state area.
