Who invented the computer and why?In: Computer History |
[Edit] |
The computer's invention has been detailed as to why it was invented that answer is possibly because the people of those days wanted to invent a machine that could aid them in simplifying complex calculations.
Answer
The ENIAC was constructed by the University of Pennsylvania's Moore School of Electrical Engineering from July, 1943.
ENIAC was arguably the first electrical or electronic computer.
Perhaps the first actual computing engine can be attributed to Charles Babbage, who in the 19th century invented the entirely mechanical Difference Engine (which he never completed) and the Analytical Engine (which I believe was finally completed and corrected, and was featured in Scientific American some years back). Both of these remarkable devices were entirely mechanical.
