Electromagnetic Induction was originally discovered in 1802 by Hans Orsted.
Hans put a wire with electric current running through it next to a compass and the make the needle move. But Hans didn't know what it means.
A decade later, a British scientist named, Michael Faraday, built on Hans' work. Michael observed that when a electric current runs through a wire, it creates a magnetic field around that wire.
sorry for making the answer so long (probably bored ya, ;])

the principle on which an electromagnetic crane works is electromagnetic induction
there's no current
Generator
Electromagnetic induction is the production of an electromotive force across a conductor when it is exposed to a varying magnetic field. Basically it works because of electricity.
Electromagnetic Induction.
On 29th August 1831 Michael Faraday discovered the theory of Electromagnetic Induction.
Yes the Induction motor works on Electromagnetic induction principle.
Faradaic current is associated with electromagnetic induction.

Electromagnetic induction
Yes, by electromagnetic induction.
Practical applications that depend upon electromagnetic induction are electrical generators and induction motors. Transformers and mechanically-powered flashlights also depend on electromagnetic induction.
