Michael Jackson got the moonwalk from soul train. I think in 1981 on Soul Train, there were guest performers, and they did the moonwalk. Michael thought it was a awesome dance and he wanted to learn it.

∙ 13y agoThe Moonwalk was created by dancer Cab Calloway in 1932 and later perfected by tap dancer Bill Bailey in 1955. Break dancers used the Moonwalk in many of their dance styles and it later became a popular phenomenon when Michael Jackson used it at Motown 25. Since then, Michael Jackson has been known to be the best at performing this popular move.
