She was a young girl in a family of four that followed the Jewish religion during the Holocaust. In 1941, she--13 at the time--and her family went into hiding, and until 1944, she often wrote in her diary about anything and everything, concerning the war, her family, and her growing up. Her diary is available in many languages, and is often a study in high school.
