Eris was the sister of Ares, the God of War. Her name means discord. She had a son named Strife. She is know for giving terrible gfts and crashing parties

She played a part in the Judgment of Paris. It was her, the reason for the judgment. She threw an apple to where there's an inscription "for the fairest." And then the three goddesses, Athena, Aphrodite and Hera, were the main choices if who is the fairest. Zeus became the judge and he told them to go see Paris in Mt. Ida, near Troy. Paris was living with a nymph named Oenone. Though he's a prince, son of Priam, he was a shepherd.
