Hindus have many gods. These gods are prayed according daily needs or wants. For education for example, the goddess Saraswati is prayed to for better education or grades. Hanuman, another god, is prayed to for strength or health. Many gods are in the Hindu religon, but Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva are the gods who are known to create the earth. They are the creators, preservers, and destroyers. Hindus also believe in one main spirit, but also believe in other gods and goddesses for other needs.
in reality our soul is God. Vishnu = Body+soul+desire, Shiva=body+soul & Brahma=Pure soul. Therefore you are God when you purify your soul means no desire.

Krishna is the sanskrit word for God just like Christos is the Greek for Christ. Krishna is considered the Supreme Lord. Krishna is the most opulent, attractive, powerful, and is within everything. Krishna is the absolute truth.
You can also look at The Bhagavad Gita by H.G. A.C. Bhaktivedantaswami Srila Prabhupada. It has the exact words of Lord Krishna and the path you should follow!
