Astronaut Neil Armstrong was the Mission Commander on the Apollo 11 mission to the moon and was the first human to set foot on the moon on July 20th, 1969. He is known for his famous quote, spoken just after he stepped out on the moon's surface:
That's one small step for a man; one giant leap for mankind.
