Who is Tommy Kirk?

Tommy Kirk, the actor, who was with the Disney stable most of his career had some nasty rumors. First of all that is not his real name, It is a stage name patterned after the unusally named St. Thomas Kirche-(church of St.Thomas) in New York which is oddly German-Speaking and Episcopal! It used to be said the St.Thomas Kirche was somewhat unique in this regard. The word (Kirk) or close analogues always means church in German, Dutch and Scottish. It was rumored that Tommy Kirk got involved in some alleged child-abuse scandal that got him sacked from the Mouse Factory. Another questionable character was Roy Williams, one of the two (Adult advisors) of the fifties-sixties Mickey Mouse club. He was pulled from the regular cast rather abruptly and it wasn"t from overeating. The other adult advisor, Jimmy Dodd, who was almost a country-western type akin to a modernized Jimmie Rodgers, the singing Brakeman) was not involved in any scandals to my knowledge.
