Best Answer

Jesus Christ is followed in the Christian Faith. He was born between 6BC and 2BC in the city of Bethlehem in Israel. When he was around 30 years of age, he was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. At that time the Holy Spirt, who is one of three who make up the one triune God, descended upon Jesus. This event began Jesus' three year ministry of teaching and healing. He was then arrested by the Roman Government in Israel, tried and sentenced to death due to the insistence of his own countrymen. He died on a Friday and lay in a tomb till Sunday, when he miraculously rose from the dead. He remained on earth for a period of time, appearing to his followers. In the presence of his closest group of followers somewhere near Jerusalem, he ascended back to heaven from where he had originally come.
