I believe you are asking about "Saint Death" aka Santa meurte.
It's a mixing of Roman Catholic and pagan "folk" Mexican religion.
The veneration of said psuedo saint has been repeatedly condemned by the Catholic Church. The Church has a process for Sainthood, and being real is one of them. St. Death is not a real Catholic Saint.
