The order of succession for Speaker of the House is extensive. Next would be the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, followed by the Secretary of State and the Secretary of the Treasury. In the next grouping would come the Secretary of Defense, the Attorney General, the Secretary of the Interior, and secretaries of Agriculture, Commerce and Labor. Following this group would be the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, the Secretary of Transportation, Secretary of Energy, Secretary of Education and the Secretary of Veterans' Affairs.
The next in line to assume the presidency following the Speaker of the House is the President Pro Tempore of the U.S. Senate. That position is currently held by Senator Robert C. Byrd of West Virginia.
If the vice pres. takes over if anything happens to the president, there will be another replacement for the vice president. There's always a president and a vice president. If a vice pres. takes over, somebody else will take he or she's place. Pretty simple.
I think it's the President pro tempore of the US Senate.
Next in line for president is the president pro tempore of the Senate.

The Secretary of State
I do not know about your medicaid circumstances, but as a general rule, when you die your assets (including your house) form your estate. Before your estate can be passed on to your heirs, all debts must be settled out of it.
At any time, if the house or senate votes to "pigeonhole" a bill(majority vote not to pass the bill to the next step in the lawmaking process) then it will not become a law. if the bill makes it to the president and he doesn't sign it(called a veto) then it will not be a law unless the house and the senate override it w/ a 2/3 majority vote.

Sine Die basically means a final adjournment of a session of congress or court procedure. There is therefore no definitive day for reconvening at a hearing. When the 'All rise' is called they officially adjourn sine die.

Next in line is the Speaker of the House.
Next in line after Speaker is the President pro tempore of the Senate.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives is the next in line of succession. The Speaker of the House would be the next in line of succession until a new vice president is sworn into office.
No one is next to die. The speaker of the house of representatives becomes the second in line to the presidency.
There has never been a Speaker of the House to be elevated to Vice President and then to President. However, if the President and Vice President was to die or resign, the Speaker of the House would be next in line.
US: No, the speaker of the house would be next in line for the presidency.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, currently Nancy Pelosi
The Speaker of the House of Representatives is next in line for the presidency after the vice-president. ( See the related question for the complete line of succession. )(Be aware that there is a procedure for expeditiously filling a vacancy that might occur in the office of Vice-president. The president and vice-president would have to die at almost the same time for this line of succession to apply.)
The next in line would be the Speaker of the House of Representatives according to the Presidential Succession Act of 1947. Currently the Speaker is John Boehner.
