Robert Pershing Wadlow 8ft 11.1inches. Had problems standing and had an operation to fit a brace to his leg. Brace didn't fit properly and he died because of these implications (infection or somthing similar) aged 22 I think around 1920s

Robert Wadlow died due to blisters on his feet which later led to infections. He died in 1940 in his sleep.

the tallest person was Judy Garland's Great Grandfoather who people didn't know about until he died but no one cared at that time. He was about 10 and a half feet tall! seriously! some people acted like he was a myth! he name was Haroletsun V. Garland. He was Polish and Judy didn't know about him till Haroletsun's aunt told Judy's friend that she had back then: Mickey Rooney. It was 2 years after the release of the wizard of oz. i found out because i hace a connection to Mickey Rooney.
