i say necromancers are the best if you have the right skills and gear. skills: 20 iron golem,20 poison nova,20 skele mage,20 regular skeleton and lastly 20 revive. screw cursing and put the extra skills to what ever you like gear: shako, enigma 2 stone of Jordan's, trang-ouls shield, the rune word white its a bone wand hellmouth gloves, tunder gods vigor is what i have on mine its a belt, spirit shield and weapon on switch, marrowalk boots, i like Mara's kaleidoscope for amulet, necromancer torch and Anni charm hope this will help you^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^just to let you know. summoner necros are crap. paladins are the OP charators in the game and at any rate i have a fb sorc that does 23k damage and 1 hits a summoner necro.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^P.S your necro sounds like its the worst necro ive ever seen. just letting you know^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^from thewulf777: It depends soully on how you make the charector. You can make a necro that can 2 hit a 8k hp barb, or make a palladin that can outcast a sorceress. Experiment with all the build you can like I have and you can beat any char with any char of opposite or like abilities.

All characters are balanced, and each complament another. Battle.net users, such as myself, have their favorite character, and special skills to use. The most popular character used in the game of Diablo 2 is "The Paladin" for its uniqe skill "Blessed Hammer". This skill is farmost the most powerfull skill for a paladin, if created right. Though each character has their speical skills, the best all depends on what you like.

If your fancy is up close, deep battle, then choose the "Barbarian" for its brute strength, and special "Whirlwind" ability to spin and kill all enemy's caught in the devastation of an attack.

Love to help your team with special powers? like adding extra damage? Then the paladin is for you, with its divine use of special offensive and defensive auras, not to mention its great combat skills.

Are you a spell caster? The "Sorceress" is the right one for you! Fire, ice and lightning are her the types of magic she can use. from shooting fireballs, spinning ice shards, to sending electrical currents into an enemy!

Raise the dead you say? Well, the necromancer is your dead rising character! Not only can he summon the dead, but he can use different poisons, and even use special curses to lower enemy defense, or even inflict more damage towards them!

So your a long range fighter who doesn't like thick battle, eh? The amazon is skilled in the bow and spear, not to mention can summon and Valkyrie to aid her in battle. The amazon can add fire, ice and even poison to her attacks. One of the famed bow attacks, is the "guided arrow" which tracks down the opponent, even if not targeted. this skill is used a lot for pvp.

Shape shifting? you must mean the druid! this fellow nature boy can not only transform into a werewolf, or a were bear , but can also use elemental spells, such as tornadoes, and even volcanoes, leading up to summoning skills, such as wolves and ravens!

Setting traps, staying hidden. The assassin. Deadly and lethal she is known for. her traps are deadly, having lighting and fire attached to them. Her skills are not only deadly with traps, but she is a master of the shadows, summoning a replica of herself to aid you in battle, and having special Martial Arts skills to swiftly knock out opponent dead!

As you can see, each character has its own use, and can be made differently by combining skills. So pick and choose, and remember, have fun picking your character, and hopefully coming out to be the best!

From Thewulf777: Well said. And like he said, there is no wrong choice in picking and building a charector. There are hundreds of builds for each class and each one is strong in all or special areas. You may think that a class like a barbarian and a paladin are horrible casters (execption of blessed hammer), a barbarian has its own casting spell. If you can get up close to a charector with this, there odds of getting out are slim. and dont think barbarians are limited to close range. they are expert throwers and can even outthrow an amazon! Keep looking throught your possiblities and maybe you might find one to your choosing.

If you are new to Diablo II, I recommend the Barbarian, simplest class in the game right there. The best to build though, really, is hard to tell between Druid and Paladin... try both of those, whichever you like most you should build, just remember, if you're new, try Barbarians.

All of the charectors are good in pvp, but it depends on your item quality and what build you use. I personally can beat almost any build with a seemingly weak build.
