In other movies it is sinestro a green lantern turned yellow lantern and other movies its the manhunters robots that preceed the green lanterns the manhunters were the guardiens first method of protecting the universe and keep order but they malfunctioned and thought everything was bad hope that helped :)

The end of the first movie shows Sinestro puting on the yellow ring and becoming a Yellow Lantern. It was planned for Hal Jordan to be taking on his archnemesis- but that only was going to happen if an actual sequel had been made. The series will now be rebooted due to the previous film doing poorly.
