By most people, Galileo Galilei, though this incorrect. The telescope was invented in the Netherlands by Hans Lippershey, Zacharias Janssen, and/or Jacob Metius ... it's not entirely clear exactly who came up with the idea first.
The recent discovery in astronomy, is that Pluto is no longer a planet. Because the mass of Pluto is far less than the mass of other planets in our solar system, they have decided to take the title "planet" away from Pluto. But because it is still much bigger than any meteor or astroide, they have decided to name it a sub-planet.
More sensitive equipment has been created to pick up the hard to find wavelengths throughout the universe. This is especially important when detecting new objects that has previously been hidden from view.
Thomas Jefferson.
Comment: I don't think Jefferson created a telescope that you could call powerful.
There have been several people who have of course. I leave it to others
to give their ideas. It could be quite a long list.
The optical design of telescopes has benefited from computer programs to make lenses and mirrors ever better. Bigger telescopes made from segments of mirrors held in close alignment will be built in many places on earth and in space. Telescopes for other than visible wavelengths are improving. Solid state electronic detector instruments now are used on newer and older scopes to improve performance, save time and money, and expand the volume of results. Telescopes can be run remotely through the internet from anywhere in the world. Multiple telescopes are being combined to make huge diameter synthetic apertures for high definition.
It was originally invented by two Dutchmen, but many people attribute the invention to Galileo, who made important improvements on what was originally a primitive device consisting of two layers of glass.
Galileo Galileo improved the telescope and was a famous Italian astronomer.
he did not improve the telescope, but his name is Galileo galilei.
He was an italian scientist who studied plant life.
The telescope, especially for astronomical observation. He got a toy from the carnival. and made it into a telescope by putting in a magnifying glass in it.
The Telescope
The first person that invented the first telescope during the renaissance time was galileo. hope this helped :)
the thermometer. Actually, Galileo made a thermoscope. You should Google image "Galilean thermometer". It's really different from our regular mercury thermometer. It's a lot cooler. the telescope. Well, Galileo merely improved it but he did so, so that the telescope was capable of observing planets and stars in outer space. He made the 1st telescope strong enough to do that. the pendulum. Galileo discovered that ischronism was what made the pendulum a useful timekeeper. Ischronism is the period of which the pendulum swings. the compass. He also improved that too. I don't know much about what he did with the compass but I do know the other three. All I know about the compass is that Galileo improved it. I hope I helped. Oh, and the reason I know all of this is because I have to do a project on him. I'm also an A+ student so yeah, trust me on this. =] ~K 2+2= fish
Telescope.
people could look deeper into space with a giant telescope.
Galileo helped to invent the telescope.
Nasa.

The telescope helped us by showing us what we can't see with our eyes
It helped solidify an enduring antipathy toward alcohol beverages.
He helped invent a telescope ;)
Because it allowed us to:Study the cosmos, make more accurate calendars based on celestial movements, and from a historical perspective it helped spark the beginning of scientific thought.
the hubble telescope is a refracting telescope and it is the biggest one because the refracting telescope can only have a certain range of size for the glass lens because it can only hang on the telescope and it is aproximently 5 meters big the lens. hope it helped

There was no particular technological advance which helped scientific notation.
