There are a few seats on the market that will probably fit your child. You might try the Jupiter Komfort Kruiser as it has a base that is 19.5 in wide. Also Britax has just released a new seat called the Body Guard that has an adjustable base. I'm not sure what it is at its widest point however. It's worth check out though if you have a local Babies R Us store. You won't find either of these seats in stores like Wal-Mart of Target. You will have to hit a baby specialty store or Babies R Us. Ordering online will likely save you some money too. Lastly I want to give you the 5-step test to see if your child is ready for a seat belt only. Remember that just because the law says he doesn't have to be in a booster anymore doesn't mean he is safe not being in one.
