Yes. The G1 is an android phone.
Htc g1
Simple answer, no.
You can find your app (paid or free) on Android Market which is available in your Android phone... Android phones are cheaper than iPhone ... that's for sure ...
Not counting developer previews, the HTC Dream/G1 was the first phone released to market to run Android.
Tethering on T-Mobile 3G using my G1 Android phone ranges from 1-2 Mbps.
Reply to first answer: g1 does have 2 keyboards on the touch screen like the iphone in android 1.6. It also can shoot video in android 1.6...and new firmwares are arriving like android 2.1 which makes the enV touch's proprietary OS look bad. g1 because its open souce and when u root it you can do more things to it.plus theres an app store so uyou never get bored with your phone :] I would have to say the enVtouch .The G1 doesnt have a keyboard on the touch screen. And the G1 doesnt shoot video. The enVtouch does both.
G1 Android > poor SideKick OS
One of my friends has the G1 from T-mobile and, in my opinion, is a really nice phone. It has all of the same features as all of the Android phones. It just depends on how big you want the screen to be and if you want an external kewboard on it or not.
The G1 screen is 3.2-inches diagonal
It is a new Verison cell phone that runs the Android operating system, much like the T-Mobile G1 & MyTouch
