If you feel you may have cause for legal action, you should consult an attorney qualified to review the full details of your case.Generally speaking, unless you requested a reasonableaccommodation and the employer failed to provide one for you, you have no recourse. The fact that your employer knows you have a medical condition is not the same as notice that a reasonable accommodation is required. It is your responsibility to request an accommodation. If you did request an accommodation, you may face difficulty proving it was reasonable. ADA rules have recently become much more friendly to mental disorders as a disability eligible for protection, however, accommodations must still be reasonable. If it was unreasonable for the employer to allow you to act as you did, then you again have no recourse.

ADA requires employers to REASONABLY accommodate ONLY "qualified individuals with a disability" - workers who can still perform all work functions the employer calls essential. If you can't perform ALL essential functions, no accommodation required. If you do not request accommodation by suggesting one, no employer duty to initiate reasonable accommodation. If there is an accommodation that would let you perform all essential job functions, the employer makes a unilateral decisioin whether it is reasonable - inexpensive, does not violate a contract, or unfairly burden other employees.
A request is something someone asks you to do. It is reasonable if there are good reasons for doing as you are asked or at least no good reasons not to do so. Of course, this is extremely subjective.

A landlord has no obligation to follow a doctor's orders. If you have a disability, under the Fair Housing Act, a doctor's order can be construed as a request for a reasonable accommodation. If you need a handicap space due to a disabling need then your landlord should honor that.
