No, he didn't. But he didn't make any movies after that I'm aware of. It happens a lot regarding child actors.

He has directed 5 movies though since Polergeist. Oliver Robins is his name. He's directed movies such as, Wild Roomies and 29000 Wishes I Regret. He was also in the movie Airplane 2 and in the TV Show, Twilight Zone in an epasode called, "Monsters" He played a customer in the movie, Man Overboard as well. He was in 2 made for tv movies as well. One is, Don't Go To Sleep (as Kevin), Million Dollar Infield (as Aaron Miller).

He has also produced one movie.

Hope this helps :) Lots of people think child stars have died sometimes, simply because we haven't reconized them in the shows or movies they have been in as adults. They can look way different then what we remember when they were children. It is an honest mistake to just think they passed away. Polergeist did have a traggic and sad loss after Poltergeist 3 was finished. (which did NOT do well in the box offices as the first 2 Poltergeists did for sure) Mostly because the original cast was pretty much gone and it seemed like they were reaching for anything to keep the series going with the story line.

Carolanne died after the 3rd movie as well as years later Tangena passed as well.

Oh, One more interesting fact you may like to know. When he did the scene in Poltergeist with the clown pulling him under the bed...He almost died for real making that scene. The doll was actually chokeing him and Stevien Speilburg did not even notice it was real, until Robby's face started turning blue.

Heather O'Rourke, the little girl taken to "The Other Side", did unfortunately die - but not until the filming of Poltergeist III. She was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and died on February 1st, 1988. During some of her scenes in Poltergeist III, her cheeks get noticeably "puffy" from the illness. The director uses her twin sister to finish her role in the film.
