Rudy Reid, Ainsley Armstrong, and the great Hasely Crawford.

Crawford qualified for the finals but pulled a hamstring just after the start of the gold medal race and was unable to finish.

Four years later at the 1976 Games in Montreal, Crawford became the first and, to this day (2009), only athlete from Trinidad and Tobago to win Olympic gold when he won the men's 100 meter dash.
