The people who represent us in the House of Representatives are given the title "Congressman." They are elected officials. Unlike the Senate where each state gets to elect 2 Senators, the number of Congressmen representing a state varies by the population of each state. The higher the state's population, the higher the number of Congressmen representing that state; however, no state can have less than 2 Congressmen.
