Robert Half is famous for "If birds of a feather flock together, they don't learn enough."

This quote originates from the idea of the ancient Greek philosopher Democritus (c.460 BC), who stated: `Creatures flock together with their kind, doves with doves, cranes with cranes and so on.'

It is unknown of it's specific origins, but the phrase has been used since at least the mid-16th century. In William Turner's satire The Rescuing of Romish Fox he wrote "Byrdes of on kynde and color flok and flye allwayes together."
