In '11 minutes' you'll find him quoting the entire lyrics of a song by 'The Brothers Four', which eventually are based on verse from the Bible. Yet they figure as 'Quotes by Paolo Coelho' in the internet.

Yes, it is okay to end a newspaper article with a quote, especially if it provides a strong and memorable conclusion to the piece. Just make sure the quote is relevant to the topic discussed in the article.

If you end an essay with a quote, it's best to keep the quote very brief. Ending an essay with a long quote looks lame and give the impression that it is a substitute for a conclusion. That said, there may be exceptional cases, where you need to end with a long quotation, but they are very rare.
