Sheriff and deputy of Mayberry, North Carolina - The Andy Griffith Show. I could not imagine a more lackadaisical if not outright lounge-lizard bunch of cops. I recall when Mr.Fife dumbfoundedly got himself locked in the jail! what a bunch of inept cops. Hoover would have thumbs-downed it.
