Who was Blaise Pascal and what did he do?

Pascal was most famous for Pascal's triangle.
He also invented the 1st mechanical calculator.
The Pascal's Triangle is a pattern where you add the adjacent numbers from the previous line.


1 1 1 1 2 1 The 2 comes from adding 1 and 1 from the above line. 1 3 3 1 The threes come from adding 1 + 2 on the left and 2+1 on the right. 1 4 6 4 1 The 4's come from adding 3+1 on the left and on the right. The 6 comes from adding 3 and 3 in the middle. This pattern continues on and on.

Blaise Pascal is a famous mathematician who is famous for Pascal's Triangle. He also made very important contributions to chemistry and other sciences.
