Georgia O'Keefe was an American artist working in the abstract movement. Born in 1887, attended the Art Institute of Chicago, first exhibit in 1917, New York.

She was also one of the most important and premiere female artists of the 20th century. She took floral as her subject and created large, out-of-scale, detail paintings. She started painting early in life and continued to do so until her eyesight prevented her from going on.

She was an artist. she was born onNovember 15th 1887. she died on march 6th 1986.she married a photographer named Albert Stieglitz. she lived for nearly 99 years!!

She was a terrific artist. In 1976 her illustrated autobiography, Georgia O'Keeffe was a best seller, and the next year she received the Medal of Freedom from President Gerald Ford. She drew many paintings and sculptures.
