Genesis, chapter 11 tells us that Lot was the grandson of Terah. Terah was also the father of Abram (Abraham). This would make Lot Abraham's nephew.
Lot accompanied Abraham and Sarah to Canaan. It was Lot who moved to Sodom and it was Lot's wife who was turned into a piller of salt because she looked back at Sodom as God was destroying that city.
Lot and two of his daughters fled Sodom and was living in a cave. The daughters fearing their family would become extinct got their father, Lot, drunk with wine and each had a child by him. One child was the progenitor of the Moabites, and the other son was the progenitor of the Ammonites.
Lot didn't really have a "job" per se. He was, basically, a herdsman.
As the bible says Lot sat at the gates of these two cities , he mixed with these pagan people.
King Solomon was renowned for his wisdom, although it was not really his but was given him by God in answer to a request.
The Bible never mentions their names, only the names of their sons born to them.
In the bible Lot's wife's name is not at all mentioned. According to the Book of Jasher 19:52 her name was Ado (or Edith) Sefer haYashar ("Book of the Upright One"). In English Jashar was traditionally, perhaps mistaken as a name and left untranslated, rendered Book of Jasher. The book is mentioned in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18.
The bible says Lot Abrahams nephew had two daughters, and it is recorded in the bible that they made their father Lot drunk and then even had sex with him in a cave.
