No one because in the 1800's there wasnt any instruments and they didnt have the right technology to have a band or anything so the answer is no one!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Reply: Of course there were instruments - You don' t need electric and technology to make music. Country Music even through the mid-1950s rarely used electronic amplification, except maybe a microphone. Classical Music halls use acoustics to give their sound amplification.

But I'm going to say that songwriters and sheet music were the most popular thing back in the 1800s. If you wanted live music, you got the sheet music and played it yourself. There were definitely popular songs that everybody knew back then that they sang, and I bet you know some of those same songs. Also, there were probably small traveling bands that entertained groups of people.

In the late 1800s, there were player pianos and organs, mostly for the wealthy who could afford such a luxury. Yea, it doesn't sound like much but to them that would have been incredible.

Music doesn't have to have words or big names -- It comes from inside. Ever watch 'Little House on the Prairie' when the dad plays his fiddle? That's music.
