The part of the Tin Woodman originally was assigned to Raymond Wallace Bulcao ka Ray Bolger [January 10, 1904-January 15, 1987]. But Bolger was interested in a role that would showcase his acting, dancing and singing skills. So he persuaded those in charge of making the beloved 1939 film version of 'The Wizard of Oz' to let him switch roles with Christian Rudolph Ebsen, Jr. ka Buddy Ebsen [April 2, 1908-July 6, 2003]. Ebsen originally had been assigned the role of the Scarecrow. Ebsen moved into the role of the Tin Woodman, only to develop a serious allergic reaction to the makeup. Ebsen then was replaced by John Joseph Haley, Jr. ka Jack Haley [August 10, 1898-June 6, 1979].
Jack Haley (August 10, 1898 - June 6, 1979) plays the Tin Woodman in "The Wizard of Oz."
Specifically, Jack Haley was the third choice to play the part. The role originally was assigned to Ray Bolger (January 10, 1904 - January 15, 1987). But Ray persuaded the movie makers to let him switch roles with Buddy Ebsen (April 2, 1908 - July 6, 2003). Buddy originally had been assigned the role of the Scarecrow. Unfortunately, he did not last in the Tin Woodman's role because he developed a serious allergic reaction to the makeup. Jack permanently replaced him in the role.

None of the characters in the Wizard of Oz are actually impressed by the Lion, it is just that the Tin Man has no heart, and is therefore incapable of showing compassion or sympathy in order to make a little white lie like Dorothy or the Scarecrow.
They didn't have to. ;) But what else is Dr. Tenma supposed to do as a single man?
A man-made virus that was originally created to cure cancer.
The Wizard of Oz was actually a regular guy hiding behind a curtain and using a machine to create a mighty and powerful display of "The Wizard." Dorothy and her friends believed him the first time. After destroying the witch they came back to him, but he tried to deny their rewards. Dorothy's dog Toto sniffed him out behind the curtain and started pulling it away. When the wizard noticed they can see his real self, he tried commanding them to ignore that person.Horse Isle Answer: Wizard of OzCaptainQuiche Dun Server!~ i loves ya ;D

The tin man from Wizard of Oz Oh dang it, were we not supposed to say that?
In "The Wizard of Oz" (1939), the Wizard is played by Frank Morgan. Of course the Wizard is not real in the film. It's controlled by the man behind the curtain.
The Wizard is not good (or effective) at doing the things a Wizard does.
To "play ostrich man" means ignore something that is obvious. Ostriches are supposed to bury their heads in the sand to try to escape from danger.
The Wizard is really just a carnival man from Omaha.
Jack Haley played the Tin Man (and Hickory) in the Wizard of Oz. The Tin Man role was originally was going to Buddy Ebsen, but due to allergic reaction from the aluminum powder makeup, Ebsen was taken out of the casting and Haley replaced him.
