Icaras was an inventor. The king wanted him to build something but he refused. Icaras and his son were put in jail. Every day he would get feathers and candles. Icaras made wings for him and his son so they could fly away. Icaras told his son not to fly too close to the sun, but his son did anyway. His son's wings fell apart and he fell into the ocean. His son died, but Icaras made it safely away from the king.
