Korah was a rebellious Levite who, with a number of other Israelite families, took exception to Moses' leadership in the wilderness, and conspired to overthrow him and usurp his authority. (see Numbers 16)

Moses first led the people out of Egypt. He spoke to God on their behalf, he petitioned God for food then water. God spoke all His commandments to Moses concerning the people. In Numbers 16, Korah and 250 leaders rose up against Moses challenging his calling from God, The Lord caused an earthquake that swallowed Korah into the earth then fire to consume Korah's followers.
