Who was the first US President to use the Internet?

Answer

The time line is a little tricky here but it was probablly Nixon. But President Johnson could have used the internet first. The internet was a government funded project to connect the military, government units, military contractors and major research universities in the 60's. This is where the original .gov, .com and .edu come from.

Since the whitehouse was one of the government units connected, it is reasonable to think that the cutting edge technology was shown to the president and he likely sent a little message to someone on the system.
