Origional TinkerbellThe original Tinkerbell was in the story "Peter Pan and Wendy", now known as Peter Pan. J.M. Barrie wrote the book, published in 1911. He was the first illustrator of Tinkerbell. Then Elisa Trimbly remade her in a different cover, renaming it "Peter Pan" published by Harper Collins.

The first person to draw the character would've been one of the illustrators of the early editions of Peter and Wendy, the novel. She was rarely shown in close-ups, however.

The animator for the 1953 Disney film was Marc Davis, who based his interpretation of Tinker Bell on actress Margaret Kerry.
