Who was Michael Morpurgo's father?

Michael Bridge Morpurgo's parents both worked in the theater. Kippe and Anthony van Bridge were married with two children when Anthony went off to fight in WW2.

Kippe became involved with Jack Morpurgo while her husband was away. She wanted to marry him. When he returned from the war, Michael's father decided to step out of the picture and leave the new family intact and he emigrated to Canada. Michael was two years old. He, his older brother Pieter and his mother all took the last name of "Morpurgo".

Michael Morpurgo's mother, Kippe Cammaerts was first married to Tony Van Bridge, Michael's biological father. Later, she married Jack Morpurgo. Michael did not know Tony was his biological father until he was 19 years old.
