Usually queens lived in palaces. Sometimes they lived in castles, or even convents.
Kings & Queens were the Highest-ranking class in the Medieval Times. They weren't as rich as Nobles (sadly to say...) but they controled ALL the power over the land and lived in castles with serfs and servants.
Kings and Queens did live in castles but not all castles had a king or queen living in them.
Queens in the earliest medieval times had no more dresses than an ordinary modern woman would. In fact I would bet some had only two, one to wear and one to wash. But then some queens were confined to convents. Things got better for women in general as the Middle Ages passed. I have read the when Queen Elizabeth I died, she had many hundreds of gowns.
There were no other Christian religions in medieval times. All Christian nations were Christian and still attending the Church that Christ founded.
Every person who ever lived had problems, regardless of when he or she lived. queens, even medieval queens, were no exception.
