The allies of Britain were the Triple Entente. These consisted of; France,The British Empire (Britain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, India and others) Russia.

All of the above fought against the Triple Alliance of Germany, Austria-Hungary (the Ottoman Empire) & Italy

At the begining of World War 1 Germany, Austria-Hungry, and Italy had a secret allianc. Britain, France, and Russa we allies also but they were not secret. When the war was about to begin, Italy dropped out from their alliance with Germany and Austria-Hungry. The United States didn't come into the war until the end when land was at stake. I believe it was Texas.
