UCLA leads the all-time series, 51-32-1 following UCLA's victory over Cal on October 12, 2013. Cal has won four of the last six meetings and eight of the last 13. UCLA holds the longest win streak in the series, winning 12 straight from 1978 through 1989. These records also include (as a loss) UCLA's forfeit of the 1977 victory in which UCLA won 21-19 on the field. UCLA forfeited all seven victories from the 1977 due to using an ineligible player. At the time, such instances were counted as losses, dissimilar from the modern practice of "vacating" the result. Prior to the 1977 forfeit, UCLA had won the previous five games, bringing the "on the field" win streak to 18 games.
