Mr. McGregor's garden is the garden which Peter Rabbit entered against his mother's wishes in "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" by Beatrix Potter (July 28, 1866 -- December 22, 1943).

Specifically, Mrs. Rabbit forbids her four children to go into their human neighbor's enticing vegetable garden. The ban is based on that garden being the place of death of her husband, Mr. Rabbit. Mrs. Rabbit does not want Peter, Flopsy, Mopsy or Cottontail to end up likewise in one of Mr. McGregor's pies.
