Why am i Having trouble getting fuel in grand marquis?

check fuel pressure at the fitting that looks like a tire valve on top/back of engine while idling, change cheap part fuel filter under car, or fuel pump is broken in gas tank. for a few minutes you can by pass the fuel filter if you are any good with barbed fittings or have a tee fitting with a pressure gauge. why dont you just invest in a 20 dollar chilton or compettitive haynes repair manual. all answers are there library loans them for free.

If you mean that the gas pump keeps kicking off when you are trying to fill up

then try putting the gas pump nozzle in all the way and then pull it back about

1 inch . I was having that problem with a Ford Explorer and a gas station

attendant told me to do that , I have been doing that ever since and have had

no problem
