The reason you got the reaction you did is many people don't realize chocolate is extremely toxic to dogs and without thinking you over reacted to the situation and probably frightened the little girl. It's natural to respond as you did, but you should have tried to be calmer and explain why chocolate is bad for dogs.
I don't know why you are in trouble, but chocolate is one of the many things that can make dogs very ill or they can possibly die.

i always have trouble thickening evaporated milk for a chocolate sauce. i recently got a magic bullet with the flat blade for whipping. after boiling the chocolate, evaporated milk, sugar, and butter on the stove and cooling it i put it in the bullet and whipped for a bit. it worked wonders. :) finally i have thick, rich, and creamy chocolate sauce!!!
The best is called rotasept spray. Use before and after feeding. It's great. I used it some years ago and had no trouble feeding baby. Only problem, I can't find it anywhere on the net any more. Please publish details if you come across it.
