Why are Internet users so willing to trust unverified information from dubious sources such as some of the answers posted here?

[Edit]
Answer: I say that is the best way to find information. if you are not sure about the information from "unvervified content", confornm it by reading some "verified sources". Or you could check for the same answer over the internet. In majority, the answer is usually correct if conformed for a couple of sources.

People just have learned to trust the internet, like me, that it must be correct.

Answer

Some people are educated to trust everything that is written (on paper or screen). Other have been educated to trust everybody. And there haven't been sufficiently grave consequences for doing so to justify a change of mentality.
