Best Answer

Olympus camera batteries, like other proprietary brand name camera batteries, are expensive because the companies can charge that much. There are few reliable non-branded options for cameras that take lithium ion batteries.

Importance of Olympus Camera Batteries?

Olympus camera batteries keep a camera in good condition so that it can capture one's moments or favorite images. It is important to always have an extra set or two of batteries so that the camera is always in working condition. This ensures that the camera is ready at any moment to snap photographs. These batteries can be bought online, via the Olympus manufacturer's website, and in local stores, too. Thus, it is easy to stock up on these batteries before an important event or vacation.

What is the battery life of an olympus camedia zoom?

An Olympus Camedia zoom camera requires AA battery's to operate. Regular AA batteries will last depending on how often you use it. So there is no definite answer to your question. But I can tell you that they don't last long. So I recommend getting rechargeable batteries to save money on them, otherwise the camera will drain the battery's quickly.

Where is the energy in a camera?

The energy in the camera is stored in its batteries. So when you take out a camera's batteries, it won't work.

Can you charge your camera with outt the charger and with the batteries?

The camera operates on batteries, weather nicad( rechargeable) or alkaline or lithium. So no matter what, you must recharge batteries. If you purchase rechargeable batteries and the charger, you can recharge them outside the camera. If you don't recharge batteries with the supplied charger, you will shorten the life span of the batteries or kill them.

What is my Olympus FE-230 digital camera problem On my pressing the power button the cam's lens cover opens it slides out slides back and then opens again.?

Try replacing the batteries and it should be ok. I don't have an Olympus (mine is a Canon) and I had the same problem, but when I put in newly-recharged batteries it was ok again. Be aware that NiMH [Nickel Magnesium Hydride] batteries have a high self-discharge rate: a newly-recharged battery loses at least 1% or 2 % of its charge per day just lying around and not even in your camera or connected to anything at all. You can put new NiMH batteries in your camera, not use it for a month, and it will be flat when you go to use it. If you know you are not going to use your camera for a while, take the batteries out and put them in the butter-compartment in the fridge, because the lower the temperature the less the discharge-rate: you will notice the difference. For a long-term and more-permanent solution, get some "Eneloop"-brand AA Batteries as they have a very-low self-discharge rate: so much so, that they are sold in plastic packs ready to use and even then they still have 70% charge.

Does expensive or cheap batteries last longer?

the cheeper batteries tend to only last 2.5 hours in a high energy circuit but the expensive last 20hrs+ my bet would be on the expensive so dont waste your money on cheep

Your camera insists to use nimh AA batteries can you use nicd batteries?

yes. NiMH batteries and chargers are easier to come by though. Alot of times, the mAh will be higher in the NiMH batteries as well...so there is really no point to using NiCD unless you'd prefer it.

Digital Camera Battery?

Because digital cameras require so much energy to function, it is very important to find the best digital camera battery. Be aware that although generic batteries are inexpensive, their lifespan capability is often only half that of name brand competitors. Name brand batteries are the most reliable source of energy when it comes to digital camera operation. An investment in rechargeable batteries can also save consumers a lot of money on replacing batteries every month.

Best double a batteries?

If you are using AA batteries in a digital camera, you will save a ton of money by buying rechargeable Nickle Metal Hydride (NI-Mh) batteries. You can charge them over and over again. If you do not want to use rechargeable batteries, Lithium AA batteries are the longest lasting. You can use regular alkaline batteries if you need to, but you won't get many photos if you use your flash!Batteries die fast in a digital camera because when you turn the camera on, the flash circuit charges up the high voltage flash capacitor. This can draw 1 to 2 amps of current from the batteries for a few seconds. Most AA batteries are not designed for this so the camera will give you a "Low Battery" warning after a few photos.
