Seal hunters profit from killing seals. Only five countries practice seal hunting. These include Canada, Norway, Russia, Greenland, and Namibia. Seals are killed for their pelts, or fur, which are used in fashion. They are also killed for their meat and their blubber. Their meat is an important source of food for small coastal communities and is also sold to the Asian pet food market. The blubber is used as a fish oil supplement.
