They are attracted to lots of women, for lots of reasons. Looks, intelligence, humor, a good dancer. Both sexes want the best partner they can find, basically someone who is too good for them.

It is true that it is subconcious. Such as someone may be attracted to someone who they know is dangerous or who their parents/friends or exs wouldn't like. This is a subconsious desision of rebelion.

We become physically attracted to others via admiration, because there is something about the other person that outstands us. We become fascinated with their icy blue colour of their eyes, the way she smiles and their body. When we become attracted to someone in this way, it's because we feel that they are a supernatural being. That nobody else is as breathtaking to look at, and that we must have them to call our own.
Emotional or mental attraction is caused by finding a common ground between yourself and another person. Ultimately, we live for ourselves-- meaning we exist as individuals with our own unique interests, personality, passions, distastes, etc. We live in this world to represent ourselves, and to fight for what we believe in and what we want to do with our lives and our world. But this journey can often feel lonely and receive much hate. That's why when we find somebody that we can see ourselves in, we become infatuated. When you find somebody that is similar to you in regards to interest and philosophies, it's one of the nicest feelings in the world, because that means you've found somebody who understands you. And who doesn't want to be understood? Having somebody that understands you, brings along trust, care and more because they think like you, therefore they want the same things for/from you and the relationship.
