Why are people searching for the meaning of life? |

When faced with our own mortality, the sane person must make sense of life. If we really stop to consider the fact that at death we cease to exist, the anxiety would be so great that we would be unable to function.
There seems to be two ways to deal with the issue, many people seem to live their lives as though they will live forever, giving no thought to a possible end. Others attempt to make sense out of life, attempting to explain the how and why of life.
We all do what we can to get through life.

With wars, divorces, etc., sometimes people wonder if there is more meaning to life and they have missed the boat. It isn't abnormal at all to search for a perfect existence and we stop searching we'd basically have no reason to live.

It's still one of the unknown answers, no one knows, there is no proof, no facts, its just a guessing game,
Humans love to discover things and love to search for them, and the ones with no proof or real definitive answer are perfect for an everlasting challenge. Part of being a human being is the need to know, to discover and to search. The curious nature is what has got us to where we are today in life and what we have today in life.
As long as we still search for answers to things we will keep expanding and enriching our lives and our brains.
Also physically, we have an over adapted frontal lobe which is what makes us more self aware, i.e. who am I and not who are WE, so we all are searching for our own meaning to our own life as well as life as a whole and this gives every individual person their own search. That's many many many years of searching, and as long as it continues, our knowledge of things, of life and of ourselves will always be added to as we pass this knowledge on to our children and this will only help further our enrichment of life and our thirst for more knowledge
