Why are prescription drugs in pill form and would they be better absorbed in liquid form? |
[Edit]
Most prescription drugs are manufactured as either tablets or capsules because their shelf-life and stability are improved by storing them in this dry form. Liquids are no better absorbed than their tab/cap counterparts, though liquid antacids are probably more effective than dry tabs like Tums.
