Any reptiles are affected bytemperature. if it's chilly out, they could die or they get slow and sluggish, because they're cold blooded and their environment affects their bodytemperature. their gender is also affected by temperature, because the heat of the egg before they hatch determines the gender of the reptile (most of the time)
