Why are the suns rays hotter in the sun?

because on the Earth we have an ozone layer. That ozone layer protects us from getting burned up to fire. As you can see the ozone layer on Australia is messed up already that is why it's so hot on Australia. But on space when you get close to the sun you burn up.
