There are no REAL reasons why women should not be allowed to join the army. Many people have the reasons such as:

  • Men are stronger
  • Women can't handle loss
  • The training is too hard
  • Women are not physically strong enough
  • Its a "man's" job
  • Women should be looking after the kids at home

All these reasons are specifically wrong. Though the US government and leading UK government think differently. If they think we can't handle it, why not give us a chance? I understand where they come from, but honestly - let us prove wrong!

when the us declared war against Germany in world war 1 many men volunteered the made the selective act which made men over the age21 to 30 to join (only if they wanted to ) Many native Americans. the positive thing is that the army unillerated the natives. those who couldn't read or write learn in the army. They also used propaganda which are like posters of cartoon or things that happen saying to join. a popular one is the one with Uncle Sam pointing at whoever was looking at the poster i says I want you to join the army

How did most colonists view slavery before the American Revolution?

The African Americans wanted to join the colonial leaders to go against the British army. The colonists were afraid to let the slaves run around armed (and might even be dangerous.) The colonial leaders realized that they really had no choice but to let the slaves join and fight in the continental army. The reason being is the colonist did not have enough soldiers to fight against the well trained British army. In January, 1776, a law was passed that the blacks could join the army.
